As the nation’s largest double drive-thru, Checkers and Rally’s has grown from the 1986 Mobile, Alabama, single unit, to today’s 820-plus-unit national chain. While the unit footprint has innovated and changed in-line with real estate advancements, the food quality and taste has remained a same, as franchisees have maintained consistency in the full-flavored signature burgers, famous fries, thick milkshakes, and other staple menu items.
Throughout our 20-plus-year history, Checkers and Rally’s has remained a staple in the American “Hamburger Nation” by consistently serving high quality, signature burgers, and famously seasoned fries, and by building its nationwide brand awareness to the tune of more than 820 units.
Just as franchisees need to adapt to different economic climates, Checkers and Rally’s has done much of the same by evolving our brand from the standard double drive-thru model, to a variety of footprint options depending on our franchisee’s financial standing and their market’s real estate availability. Together, the Checkers and Rally’s of today operate in a more cost efficient footprint designed for easily understood and executable operations.
On top of unit design flexibility; valuable network and system; expert, state-of-the-art training; powerful marketing, advertising and branding; and supply chain benefits, we have compiled an experienced, versatile, and eclectic executive team to power brand growth, consistency and evolution.
Chief Executive Officer Rick Silva’s leadership team (comprised of extensive restaurant, franchise, and entrepreneurial experience) is focused on growing the brand through franchising, and continuing to grow the brand as a leader in both our segment and the industry. Untraditionally, Checkers and Rally’s has also continued the operation of more than 33 percent corporate locations in order to have a more than sufficient brand playground to develop and test new products, systems and training methods. This has helped the brand continue to offer top-of-the-line services and best practices to its franchisees.
